Do you ever feel unqualified for the work of the Lord? Do you ever wonder why God made you the way He did and what difference you can actually make in the world?

Friend, I can relate to this! I feel this way all the time! But something my dad has instilled in me since I was young is that it’s not about the outcome its simply about doing what’s right.

It’s easy to get so caught up on outcomes, results, that we tremble at the thought of actually stepping out into the unknown and doing something. Outcomes are not our concern, that’s God’s business. Our responsibility is to seek the Lord, love Him with all our heart, and love our neighbor as ourselves. From here we can allow that love to launch us into our destiny… into what God created us for.

God doesn’t make a mistake friend. So if you’re reading this right now then it means you’re still breathing… and if you’re still breathing you can make the impact on the earth! The impact God created you to make that God created you for.

It’s easy to get so caught up in outcomes that we apply our limited perspective to assign earthly value to things that God says actually have eternal value! Think about that for a moment, what if you saw the eternal value in showing simple acts of kindness to strangers. Suddenly those once “simple” acts become multifaceted jewels that go on from you simply opening the door for a stranger to them feeling loved and valued for the first time in their life! That person may have been on the verge of taking their own life because they felt invisible to the world around them… that was until you came along, saw them, smiled at them and opened the door for them.

This is the incredible impact Jesus made every single day He walked the earth. He stopped at a well to sit with a woman whom He shouldn’t have even been speaking to based on the culture of the day. But He saw her and not only did He speak with her, He offered her living water and saved her soul. (Read John 4)

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” —John 4:10

Imagine the thoughts of God as He knit you together in your mother’s womb. Was He smiling? Was He stitching inside of you the gifts and talents you would need to fulfill His call?

Everything God creates is for purpose and on purpose. You are no accident friend! You’re uniquely qualified to fulfill the call of God on your life. You need only trust God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path (Prob. 3:5–6)!

The other day when I was talking with God He said something so clear and so simple that it shook me to my core. The scripture from Jeremiah 29:11 was rolling in my spirit, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’“

“I know the plans I have for you… He said, clearly and matter of fact.

“They are My plans. Not yours.

That was all I needed to hear. I got it. Ok Lord. I hear you. They are Your plans. You made me, You called me. You equipped me with everything I need to carry out Your plan for my life.

Friend, have you been doubting God? Have you been beating yourself up lately because you feel so unqualified for what He’s calling you to? It’s time to let all that doubt go and simply trust the Lord—He created you for a reason. Repent to God for doubting Him and not trusting Him like you should.

Something my amazing husband often says, and has truly lived his life by, is this: “Acceptance comes before understanding.

We created to understand the immeasurable, inconceivable, vast ways of God—we were created to trust Him.

He is sovereign.

He is God Almighty.

How much bigger do you need God to be? It’s time to trust that He made you for a reason and longs to begin using you to make an impact on the world around you each and every day!

This Weeks Challenge: Don’t limit the Lord. Believe that part of His plan for the earth involves you stepping out into what He’s placed inside of you to reach the lost around you in your everyday. Are you lacking vision? Seek the Lord. Ask Him to reveal the next step in your journey with Him. As a believer, God sees greatness in you… He sees His Son in your heart… and nothing is impossible for Jesus.

I love you,

Krissy
