“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” —Revelation 12:11 NIV

What is your testimony? Do you know it? When you sing praise unto the Lord is the testimony of Jesus in your life driving the song from your lips? Or are you singing just to sing? Reading off the words from the screen on a Sunday morning without really connecting to the lyric?

I think we’ve all been there at one time or another. When the words to our favorite worship songs become so familiar we sing them out of memory rather than experience.

God put this message on my heart on Easter Sunday as we sang songs about the goodness of God.

While singing a simple lyric to the Lord proclaiming, “You are good… you are good.”

Why is He good?

What has He done for you?

What is your testimony?

Why are you proclaiming the goodness of God?

Never forget why you sing or Who you are singing about/to. Never forget what the Lord has done for you!

What has He set you free from?

What has He healed you of?

Are you going through a tough season right now? I want to encourage you to sing about the goodness of God as a prophetic proclamation for your life! Begin to proclaim over your circumstance the goodness of God.

This is how you overcome!

You may be going through a valley season where it’s tempting to question God, but instead—by singing “You are good” or even just stating it, saying it out loud, you are making a declaration to your circumstance that no matter how dire the outcome may seem God is still Good!! God is unchanging! God is good!

Your circumstances don’t impact the nature of God rather the nature of God impacts your circumstance!

His goodness will cause even the deepest sea of despair, disappointment or discouragement to part right before your eyes paving a way for you to walk through on dry ground. A way you could never have dreamed or imagined. We serve the God of the impossible. So be enoucraged today that if you can’t see a way out of what you’re in right now God will make a way out for you! He will create one! Surrender to him and resist the tendancy to worry.

Listen to this song now and begin to proclaim the goodness of God. Sing it out from a place of testimony and praise and/or from a place of declaring the nature goodness of God despite your circumstance!

He will make a way for you friend… Your King has come and He leads you by the hand through every season of your life.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” —Isaiah 43:19 NIV

I love you,

Krissy
