“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” —John 3:16–17 NIV

It surprises me to learn how many don’t realize how fondly God looks at them. There are many who believe God is looking at them through eyes of judgment versus eyes of love. Even before Jesus came into this world and died for us God looked at His people with love.

For God so loved the world…

He looks at us with eyes filled with compassion not judgment or shame. Even after Adam and Eve sinned for the first time God went to garden to walk with them looking for them—they were the ones hiding from Him! He wasn’t hiding from them (Gen. 3).

How often do we do that friend? We make a mistake and then we hide from God. What a lonely place that is. It’s because we were never intended to live outside of His presence.

I want to encourage you today friend that it doesn’t matter what you’ve done or how far you think you’ve fallen—God will never stop loving you. God looks at you with eyes of compassion and mercy. He longs for you to grab hold of the free gift of grace through Jesus and come boldly before Him (Heb. 4:16). No, God does not tolerate sin but He has given us the tools we need to turn from sin and turn back to the Father.

If you’ve wondered off course—today is your day, now is your moment, simply position your heart back to the Father.

But how do I do that?

It’s simple. Acknowledge that which you know is holding you back. Don’t ignore it any longer and certainly don’t try and hide it from God—He already knows about it friend. He’s looking at your heart and He longs to see you acknowledge that which has come between you and Him so you can face it head on and willfully turn away from it.

He wants for you to choose Him.

Today, make this declaration—I choose you God. I choose the path you’ve marked out for me. I choose grace. I choose forgiveness. I choose life. I’m done concealing that which is causing me to hang my head low in shame, guilt, and bondage. I choose this day that I will face this thing, I’ll take a good look at it, and acknowledge it to myself and to You God. I’m not going to live in fear any longer! I am choosing to turn from this thing and serve you with my whole heart and life! You’re a good Father and today I am willing to accept that even with all my mistakes, you are looking at me with eyes of love and compassion calling me Your good son/daughter.

I love you!
Krissy

P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
