“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” —1 Peter 4:10 NIV

It’s important for us to be faithful with what God has given us. From our talents to our time – God desires we faithfully steward what we possess. When you’re unsure about your next step begin to think about what you can do right now, today to be a faithful steward of what God has given you. If you can’t think of anything, ask the Lord!

There are a number of things that can hinder our faithfulness. Feeling as though we have limited time, resources, energy, we may feel we don’t have the right tools, or even the necessary motivation to steward our gifts.

The reality is friend, that whatever God has given you came as a package deal bundled with everything you need to carry out the given assignment!

This is something my mother-in-law would say to me often when I became a new mom and didn’t feel I was doing a good job and wondered if I would ever feel “normal” again. She would gently remind me, “Krissy, when you became a mother God equipped you with everything you need to care for your child.” She was right. And the only thing that was hindering me was, well, me!

Insecurity, doubt, and even wounds that haven’t yet healed can halt our progress in stewarding well our various gifts. It can often feel intimidating as we wonder what our next step should be.

Today when I was getting ready for the day I was talking to God and began repenting to Him for losing hope. He said to me gently, “Krissy. You didn’t lose hope… you lost vision.” I immediately stopped what I was doing to listen intently as He spoke, “You never stopped believing I had a plan for you, you just lost sight of the vision I gave you.”

Wow…

If only we could see ourselves the way God sees us… He never loses faith in us even when we lose faith in ourselves. He sees the best in us, not the worst as some would suppose. Think about His love demonstrated through the ultimate gift of His only Son!

He loves us friend… so deeply.

That said, allow His love for you to be the fuel you need to faithfully steward the gifts and talents He’s given you. To faithfully manage your time, your resources and anything else you possess. Not for the accolades of others but for the opportunity you have today to offer your gifts as an offering to the One who gave them to you!

I pray you begin taking that simple next step of obedience… just one faithful Holy Spirit led step at a time in obedience to what God has called you to do today.

Be encouraged, “The lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” —Psalm 37:23 NLT

I love you!

Krissy
