“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ Isaiah 46:10 NIV

The unknown. What a scary place to be. After all, anything could happen. You could make a mistake. You could look like you don’t know what you’re doing. You could fall. You could fail.

There are so many reasons to avoid the unknown, but I’ve found in my experiences with the Lord the more reasons I come up with as justification to stay in the comfortable, familiar zones—God deems as the very reasons worthy of stepping out!

It’s in these unfamiliar steps where we can’t quite see what’s ahead that our trust in God increases and our faith is heightened.

Its in the unknown where we truly let go of our usual “go to” safety nets and rely fully on God.

It’s in the unknown that God truly shines. He gains glory in our dependence on Him.

The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary people letting go and stepping into the unknown with God.

The story of Joseph…

Of Moses…

Of David…

Of Peter…

Of Paul…

So many different stories all with one common thread—ordinary people trusting God in the unknown leading to an extraordinary outcome!

God has a plan. And it involves you!

God’s ways are not our ways (Isa. 55:8).

If you’re sensing God is calling your name asking you to lock eyes with Him and step out of the boat you’re in to walk on the waters of the unknown and seemingly impossible then go for it! What do you have to lose? Nothing is impossible with God.

The bigger picture is—God has a plan for this earth and it involves you obeying Him with abandon!

Where are the David’s of our generation? The Moses’? The Pauls? The Peters? Perhaps it’s you? It’s the Christina’s and the Krissy’s and the Mike’s and the Robert’s. It’s the (insert your name here).

It’s you friend.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” —Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

The unknown isn’t unknown to God. It’s part of His-story that He has written with your name on it.

Be encouraged today to rise up in fearless obedience locking eyes with the One who made you and knows you by name.

He’s calling you today friend!

Can you hear Him?

It’s time to respond…

I love you!

Krissy

P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
