“For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” Deut. 7:6

Its easy to feel out of place in the world. Like you don’t belong. Like a misfit. I feel like that all the time! But reading the above scripture reminds me that I have a place where I fit and it’s in the heart of God. I am His treasure after all… and so are you.

It’s in His arms where I feel the most secure… the most loved… the most accepted. Life can be filled with storms and opposition but when I fall back into His big, loving arms of grace I feel peace. I feel security. I feel at home. It’s right there in His arms with my head pressed back against His chest where I feel His heart beating… and it’s beating for me.

We serve a big God friend.

He flung the stars into space yet He knows you by name!

He is the master carpenter of the universe yet He notices if even one sparrow falls to the ground (Matt. 10:20–30).

He cares for you friend.

And He created you just the way you are.

He knows the end from the beginning and He has a plan for your life (Isa. 46:10)!

Don’t resist and resent what makes you different! Embrace it! Because the plan and purpose God has for your life depends on you fully embracing and accepting who God made you to be. From your talents to your quirks—God calls you His beloved.

Have you ever asked God why He made you they way He made you? Have you ever engaged with Him about the areas you deem a “flaw” in your character? You should try it some time… don’t be afraid.

His word says, “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV

When you become a believer and receive the Holy Spirit God begins a process from within you to form and fashion you into the image of His Son. The more time you spend in the presence of God abiding in Him the more fruit of the Spirit—aka the more of the nature of Christ—you will bear (John 15:4).

It’s a refining process.

“For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.” Psalm 66:10 NIV

God wants to know you, and He so desires for you to know Him.

Don’t allow your limitations to keep you from seeking the will of God for your life! And most certainly do not allow your quirks to hinder you from the revelation that God can, and so desires, to use you! God has a plan!!

If you are creating a work of art, or are a writer or have ever created anything in your life you know that you crafted your masterpiece the way you did for a reason. As did God when He made you… plain and simple.

So be encouraged today that you are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus for a plan and a purpose (Eph. 2:10)!!

“On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?” —Romans 9:20–21 NIV

I love you,

Krissy

P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
