“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” —Psalm 40:2 NIV
Do you ever feel stuck? Your heart longs to move forward but your feet just won’t follow—it’s like they can’t. They appear to be stuck in the muck and the mire of an area (or areas) of your life where breakthrough is desperately needed.
Today I had a vision of a person standing in the mud. Their feet had sunk to ankle deep. They had tried time and again to free themselves but had exhausted all of their own strength. Eventually they through their arms out in surrender to the Lord crying out for Him to free them from the pit they were in when suddenly a ray of light shone through the clouds above. This single beam of sun glistened through the haze landing right on the person’s heart. Stunned the person looked down at their chest where the ray of light glimmered.
All of a sudden a revived strength rose up from within the individual and they realized what God was showing them—that the strength they needed to get up out of the pit was inside of them!
Words of life began flowing from their lips as they boldly proclaimed, “Greater is He who is in me that he who is in the world!!” (1 Jn. 4:4).
And with that their foot began to lift from the mud and they were free from that which had hindered for so long!
—Friend, God has a very important message for you today! If you’ve been feeling stuck—throw your arms out in surrender to Almighty God! It’s time to stop trying so hard to free yourself and allow God to rise up in you giving you life and strength from within! Its from there that He will free your feet from the mud.
When you accepted Christ as your Savior and Lord of your life you became His child! And as His child you have the spirit of the Living God living inside of you giving life and strength to your body!!
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” —Romans 8:11 NIV
So be encouraged today—there is hope if you’ve been feeling stuck! Freedom is near! Simply surrender and He will lift your feet from the muck and the mire!

Your daily words of encouragement is one of the things that is getting me through each day right now. I’m praying for a job. My previous job of 20 yrs was outsourced, & it devastated me. I have ALWAYS worked & never been without a job. Please pray for me that I get something soon! Thank you again for what you do!
