When a person encounters the love of their Savior for the first time – it’s incredible. Its not something that can be explained in words… its not something that the world can understand… but all those who have been transformed by the renewal that happens when we crash collide with the mercy of a Loving Father who gave His one and only son as our substitute for sin… when we collide with the Love of God… the Love of Jesus… and the power of God through the Holy Spirit at work inside the new believer…

Its. Just. Beautiful.

I weep as I think about the people who I have seen transformed before my very eyes. Friends. Family. Myself.

“There is no fear in love. But Perfect love drives out fear….” 1 John 4:18

Fear of failure…

Fear of imperfection…

Fear of making mistakes…

Fear of looking foolish…

Fear.

Perfect Love drives out fear…. Perfect love from a Perfect Father who gave His one and only son as the Perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty for sin… Once. And. For All. The spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29)!! When we look at what the Father did for us, why, because He SO loves us (John 3:16), we can begin to see why a heart that has never experienced His love before can be so transformed in an instant.

“God is love.” —1 John 4:16

Perfect Love.

What mercy the Father has that He would do such a thing… What love from the Son that He would partner with the Father’s plan… And what beauty in the free gift of salvation we are all offered because of it.

Today I am thankful for all the believers out there who have experienced this encounter with the saving Grace of a loving God. And I am thankful for all those who will soon know Him. I am thankful that He is still present and at work in our world today. That He will NEVER leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). O, the Blood of Jesus… The precious Blood of Jesus… I am so thankful Father for what you did for us… I am SO thankful for the Cross… I am thankful for your Son, the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world (John 1:29).  THANK YOU GOD FOR WHO YOU ARE. You are good, and your love endures forever (Psalm 100:5)!

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10

God. Is. Love.

Take a moment and express your thankfulness to God… Pause and listen to this beautiful song about the blood of Jesus…

I love you!

Krissy

P.S. How can I be praying for you today?
