“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” —Joel 2:25a NIV

Do you ever feel like you’re in pieces? As though the world has come over you as a swarm of locusts eating away pieces of your heart, of your dreams, of your identity, and/or your purpose?

I know I’ve felt this way many times.

And it always seems to come at the least suspecting of moments too. Often right after a major victory or breakthrough. When you’re sort of floating on Cloud 9 as they say and you feel unstoppable until—bam! The rug is pulled out from under you and you find yourself in a free-fall to the ground shattering into a thousand pieces.

From there it’s easy to get discouraged and become frustrated. Some even begin to resent God blaming him for allowing such things to occur.

I want to encourage you today friend—it is NOT God’s plan to destroy you! And it is NOT God’s plan to see you shattered!

Jesus said,

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” —John 10:10 NIV

The enemy is notorious for swooping in after victorious moments in our life to steal our joy! He has an agenda and it’s to prevent you from living in the full abundant life Jesus died for you to have thus maintaining separation between you and the Father.

God’s declares His plans for you in Jeremiah 29:11, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,’” (NIV).

If you’re feeling like your life is in pieces be assured that God, Creator of the Heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1), Master Carpenter of your life who knit youtogether in your mother’s womb (Ps. 139:13) has plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future (Jer. 29:11)!

We serve a God of restoration friend!

A God who restores not just the years we feel have been stolen from us but even the very moments, the seconds! He restores and makes ALL things new (Rev. 21:5)!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” —Isaiah 43:18-19

God advances through what we consider a wasteland of a life (or even just a day or week of our life) and springs up streams of living water! He takes the fragments of what we label broken and refurbishes into something whole. He takes what the enemy meant for harm in our lives and works for His good (Rom. 8:28)!

So today, if you’ve been desperate to feel whole again allow God, Jehovah Rapha—God your Healer—to touch all the broken places in your heart and life. He will restore and make brand new! Just as a broken bone is stronger after it heals, so your broken heart, and broken life, will be stronger too! This is part of the restoration and newness offered by through the blood of Jesus for you today.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” —Isaiah 53:5 NIV

Friend, Jesus was crushed for you… He bore that so that by His woulds you could be healed and made whole. Jesus said, “In this world you will face many troubles but take heart! I have overcome the world,” (John 16:33)!

So be encouraged today where the enemy has tried to steal your identity, kill your joy and destroy your relationship with the Father—God restores!! Simply bring your broken pieces before the Father today and allow Him to mend you back together again, piece-by-piece, stronger than ever through the resurrection power of the cross! God is faithful!

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” —Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

I love you!

Krissy
